Here’s a great tea tree oil recipe that will help you see that making your own household cleaner is very easy. After you make a bottle, you’ll never go back to store-bought cleaners again! For years we struggled with vinegar based cleaners, because they… well, they stink like vinegar. The first time we made this cleaner, it blew our minds. It smells divine.
The tea tree oil adds disinfectant properties to the mix, and smells luxurious, like a trip to a day spa. The lavender oil and the eucalyptus oil sweeten the note of the cleaner, and it smells so good we want to just spray it around the whole house, not just clean with it. The mist from the sprayer adds a wonderful scent to the room while you’re cleaning surfaces. We also really like using this cleaner in the bathroom, for the mirrors, countertop, and window. The scent the tea tree oil leaves behind is so tranquil, and you really notice it the next time you enter the room.
Not only are essential oil cleaners all-natural and free from toxic chemicals, they’re more economical, since you’re not paying for all that ‘big-company’ marketing, just the wholesome ingredients.
This cleaner is great for use on any hard surface, like countertops, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and floors. It’s also great for high-gloss surfaces, like stainless steel appliances and window glass. It’s naturally streak free! (Which makes you wonder why anyone uses ammonia in their products.)
Most people assume that homemade products are not as effective as name brand products, but that’s just not true. You’ll have to make up your own mind after making this tea tree oil cleaner. You’ll appreciate that the recipe is very simple, with just a few ingredients.
