At Invivo Essential, we all have strong, great looking nails, and happy looking cuticle beds, even the guys! One reason why, is because of this awesome frankincense oil nail strengthener that really works. The shea butter and fractionated coconut oils load your skin with triglycerides, allowing the vitamin E and frankincense oil to be absorbed so it can get to work on the nails themselves. When you’re ready to use this product, just get an amount the size of a pea on your finger tip, and apply it to your nails and cuticles. I usually rub it in for 30 seconds on each finger. Typically, we use this product at night before we go to sleep, so it can soak in and work all night long. You can apply as needed, as often as every day, but you’ll probably only need to use it twice a week to see a difference.
We had a hard time finding the liquid vitamin E for this recipe locally. They used to carry it at the supermarket, but it had been replaced by gelcaps. Luckily, they sell it online, so we only had to wait a day to make this recipe. But the star of the show is the frankincense oil, which has natural astringent and skin tightening properties. The main components of this essential oil are Alpha Pinene, Actanol, Bornyl Acetate, Linalool, Octyl Acetate, and Incensole. These compounds contribute to the cicatrisant effects of frankincense oil, which means it tightens skins and increases blood flow at the application site. This again, contributes to how it is able to provide a strengthening effect on the nails.
